COLLAB APPOINTMENTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE IN PERSON AND ONLINE!

For In Person Tutoring:

  • At your appointment time, come to the Writing Collaboratory, located in the lower level of Taylor Memorial Library.
  • Make sure that you have the guidelines or rubric for the assignment you'll be working on.
  • When you arrive in the Collab, your tutor will greet you and start the tutoring session.

For Synchronous Online Tutoring:

  • You'll need a computer with speakers and a microphone. (Cameras are optional.)
  • If you do not have a microphone or speakers, your session can take place via the text-based chat feature.
  • Five minutes before your appointment, please log in to http://centenary.mywconline.com and click on your scheduled appointment. Click START OR JOIN ONLINE CONSULTATION. A new window will pop up. A standard message on the session’s whiteboard will tell you about getting help, how to use the whiteboard, text chat, editing toolbar, drawing tools and video/audio options.
  • When your tutor joins the session, they will ask you which meeting platform you'd like to work in - Teams, Zoom, etc. They will guide you through sharing your document.

For Asynchronous E-Tutoring:

  • Make an appointment using this online schedule with the tutor named "E-Tutoring."
  • Select "e-tutoring" under "Meet online?"
  • After filling out the rest of the form, upload your paper in the spaces provided at the bottom of the form. (For scheduling purposes, we ask that you avoid submitting documents longer than 10 pages. For longer documents, please make multiple appointments over time.)
  • A peer tutor will review your document and get back to you within 48 hours of the appointment time.

We look forward to working with you this semester!
